The public eventually caught on to Casio designers’ idea of a durable and shatterproof watch that was resistant to strong shakes. The bright colors are particularly attractive to children aged 9 and older, according to “Business Week.”
Shock Resistance

The watch is able to withstand shock because of its innovative design. The watch features a hollow core where the watch module is connected at just a few points so that it is essentially floating. In fact, no matter what angle it is dropped from, the buttons or glass will never hit a flat surface.
Features
G-shocks are loaded with many features including digital and analog faces, backlights, alarms and timers. One of the watch’s special features is solar-powered batteries. Once the battery of the MTG-1500 series is fully charged it will power the watch for six months without additional light, according to a “Wired” review. The watches contain a radio that calibrates the time with an atomic signal.
